Reuniting Sisters After Decades Apart

I was recently given the incredible opportunity to work with the organization, Wish of A Lifetime, to capture the emotional reunion of two sisters who hadn't seen each other in decades. Wish of A Lifetime is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to shifting the way society views our oldest generations by fulfilling their dreams and sharing their stories to inspire others.

I was honored to be asked to work with such an amazing organization. The assignment resonated with me on a personal level, as I have a strong bond with my own sisters.

In preparation for the shoot, I set out to scout a location that would be meaningful and convenient for the sisters. It was important for me to choose a place that would evoke a sense of intimacy and also highlight the beauty of nature. I considered the distance from where the sisters were staying, making sure that they wouldn't have to walk too much while we were shooting.

Interacting with the sisters on the day of the shoot was such a wonderful experience. I had the privilege of hearing their stories and learning about their shared childhood. Their bond reminded me of the connections I have with my own siblings, and it was heartwarming to witness their genuine joy in being reunited.

Being commissioned by Wish of A Lifetime to capture the reunion of these two sisters was a remarkable experience. The chance to witness such a profound moment and immortalize it in photographs is a privilege I will forever treasure. The bonds we have with our loved ones are at the core of our humanity, and it's through these connections that we find solace and strength. This project served as a powerful reminder of the importance of cherishing our relationships and the beauty of reuniting with those we hold dear.
